O hai thar,
Here’s a super awesome picture of my dog with a commission piece from Jenny Parks of Doctor Mew. :D
Anywho, the purpose of this Tumblr was to be a companion for my blog Le Fancy Geek, but I’m finding it to be rather useless, so I’ve decided to phase it out. Some of you already follow my personal Tumblr, but for those who don’t you can find it here. It’s like anyone else’s personal Tumblr — I post what I like. Mostly Disney, Doctor Who, John Green, nerdy things, books, TV shows, and movies I like, and some pictures from outings I go on. Feel free to follow! If not that’s cool too.
Cheers,Nina

New post on Le Fancy Geek about Fentons Creamery! =)

A kick ass sundae is all I can think about right now. What’s with the fucken dog though?

The “fucken dog” is Dug from Up, and the sundae is from Fentons Creamery which was featured inthe movie.
Derp.

Happy Memorial Day, everyone (or whoever happens to be reading this)! I hope you’re all  having a splendiforous 3-day weekend.
I’ve been M.I.A. from Le Fancy Geek for the past few weeks petsitting for my boyfriend’s mom and sister (I spent a whole week with doggies!), then Tim and I  went to Disneyland for a few days after that for a special Fantasmic!performance for Annual Passholders, then came back home for a day, and the day after I went back to SoCal for my youngest cousin’s high school graduation with my family (fun fact: the class of 2012 was born the same year The Lion Kingwas released in theaters and the OJ Simpson trial was all over the news… daaaaamn, I feel old), and then we went further south to San Diego to see my sister. We left at 10 pm last night and got back home around 5 am.
I AM SO TIRED.
I shall be blogging about my adventures in petsitting, my Disneyland trip, and SoCal excursion in the next few days, but for now I need to rest my bones. *yaaawn*

How I Met My Phantom Lover & Other Disney Delusions
[exert]
Scenario number two involved dogs as well. It’s quite simple: We’d both be walking in opposite directions at a park and our dogs would see one another from across the way and go ape shit, thus making each of us attempt to hold them back, but lose control and our dogs would collide, their leashes coiling around our legs tightly, and we’d tumble onto a soft patch of grass. Both of us would utter Oh my Gods! and I’m so sorrys! to one another and we’d scold our dogs to no avail. Obviously, after that we’d get married and he would write musical ditties and I would write stories, and then my schoolmate would come over and want to make a coat out of the puppies they were going to have. When telling Monica this, she said I watch way too many Disney movies. Also, I didn’t have a dog when I conjured this scenario, but once I got Rory, I thought, “OH MY GOD! My 101 Dalmatians fantasy can become a reality!”
So, yeah. I do watch a ridiculous amount of Disney movies. And I think those films may have played an integral role on the way I wanted things to play out in my own love life (which has been entirely fictional for the better half of my somewhat young life as I dated celebrities in my head).

Lately I’ve been feeling quite extremely restless with my surroundings and have had this innate urge to go out and explore. I’ve also been wanting to use the word “innate” in a sentence, so I guess 1 out of 2 ain’t so bad. Wait, I take that back. I won’t settle for 1 out of 2. I won’t!
Saturday’s day trip to San Francisco was much needed, but I want more. I want to get in my car and head up north to Portland and Seattle. I want to drive up the dizzying road that leads to Lake Tahoe (even though I have yet to drive out of town by myself yet). I want to hop on a plane and see the east coast. I want to cross the “pond” and walk amongst the cobbled streets of Europe. Hell, I’ll settle for a mini adventure too, like a day trip to Santa Cruz or Berkeley.

Over the weekend, Tim and I explored the Mission District (mainly bookstores) and watched Monty Python’s Spamalot for our 5 month anniversary! You can read more about our excursion on Le Fancy Geek. :)
